Harry is a partner with over 35 years of experience in technology, specializing in technology for small and mid-size businesses. His multifaceted role includes evaluating potential investment opportunities in IT infrastructure, systems, and processes for alignment with Moonshot’s investment strategy. Additionally, Harry offers specialized expertise and support to portfolio companies through due diligence, strategic planning, operational improvements, and advisory services.
Before joining Moonshot, Harry made significant contributions to the technology services sector for over 35 years. He is also the founder of SMB Nation, a community supporting over 35,000 MSPs. With 21 books and over 400 articles, Harry’s expertise, notably in “How to Be an MSP,” reflects his profound understanding of the industry. He has contributed to various business and technology magazines, including Washington CEO, Colorado Business, Alaska Business Monthly, ChannelPro, and Microsoft Certified Professional magazine.
Harry served as the Dean at Aspen University’s Graduate School of Technology. He holds a Ph.D. in Letters and an MBA in Project Management from the University of Denver, as well as MCSE, MCT, and CNE certifications.
Piers Dormeyer, eMBA
Piers is a Partner that brings dynamic strategic insight and leadership honed over nearly 20 years of entrepreneurial experience across diverse sectors. His role shapes the future of Moonshot’s portfolio companies by providing expert guidance and advice to nurture and expand businesses, offering strategic insights, enhancing leadership capabilities, and facilitating industry connections. Piers collaborates with portfolio company management to implement sales, marketing, go-to-market, and sustainable growth strategies, providing essential strategic leadership to navigate complex market dynamics and achieve sustainable growth.
Before joining Moonshot, Piers excelled at scaling enterprises from startups to private-equity-owned entities, demonstrating a remarkable blend of strategic acumen. In addition to his role at Moonshot, Piers currently serves as the CEO of EagleView, a company within the Vista Equity Partners and Clearlake Capital portfolio.
Piers has an EMBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Florida. He has participated in the Vista Equity Partners-HPLP program, completed deeplearning.ai coursework, and achieved a Scaled Agile Certified SAFe 5 Agilist certification.
Jamar Freeman, MPM, PMP
Jamar is a Managing Partner and Co-Chairman with over two decades of expertise spearheading enterprise initiatives and managing large-scale technology projects. His multifaceted role encompasses devising and executing strategic growth plans, orchestrating investment activities, leading deal-sourcing endeavors, conducting meticulous due diligence on potential investments, implementing value-creation strategies, and diligently monitoring performance metrics.
Before his tenure at Moonshot, Jamar honed his craft as a consultant and entrepreneur, refining his knack for collaborating with executives to implement strategic initiatives to meet business, operational, and financial goals. His proficiencies include establishing and overseeing enterprise project management offices, executing strategic plans precisely, adept financial analysis and budgetary oversight, meticulous schedule management, resource allocation, risk assessment and mitigation, adept stakeholder management, and inspiring leadership.
He has a Master’s in Project Management from Keller Graduate School of Management, a B.S. in Technical Management from DeVry University, and an A.A.S. in Electronics and Computer Technology from DeVry University. Furthermore, he is a certified project manager with the Project Management Institute (PMI).
Michael L. Hogan, C.P.A.
Michael is a Partner and Certified Public Accountant with over 35 years of experience in finance, accounting, and executive roles. He brings extensive finance and strategic planning expertise to enhance the firm’s operations and support its portfolio companies. His multifaceted role includes serving as a crucial liaison with auditors, tax advisors, regulators, and management, evaluating investment opportunities through comprehensive financial analysis, and providing strategic counsel on budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial management. Michael collaborates closely with portfolio company management on financial reporting, planning, and operational enhancements, educating and mentoring executives on financial best practices and compliance with regulations.
Before joining Moonshot, Michael was pivotal in guiding organizations through crucial growth phases. He spearheaded successful IPOs for Key Florida Bancorp and Pelican Financial, Inc., listing them on NASDAQ and the American Stock Exchange. As Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, he led two bank holding companies to public listings and played a key role in forming First America Bank in Sarasota/Bradenton, Florida, obtaining a State of Florida bank charter. Initially serving as Executive Vice President and CFO, Michael advanced to President and CEO, significantly contributing to the bank’s success and expansion.
Michael holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Food and Resource Economics from the University of Florida, a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Utah State University, and has completed post-graduate coursework in taxation from the University of Florida. Additionally, he has dedicated 15 years to educating future finance professionals as an Adjunct Professor of Accounting at four distinguished colleges and universities.
Massimo Messina, MBA
Massimo is a Managing Partner and Co-Chairman with over 30 years of expertise in M&A, financial advisory, and investment banking. His multifaceted role encompasses architecting and executing strategic growth and investment plans, leading due diligence processes for potential investments, meticulously analyzing financials and market trends, building financial models, and assessing associated risks to make well-informed decisions. Additionally, he oversees day-to-day operations and resource allocation.
Before joining Moonshot, Massimo forged a distinguished career as a seasoned advisor adept at navigating complex transactions, valuations, and deal structuring across diverse clientele. With notable roles at industry-leading firms such as PwC, Grant Thornton, and Duff & Phelps, he played a pivotal role in shaping their M&A divisions. Massimo further honed his expertise at prestigious institutions, including Credit Suisse First Boston and Houlihan Lokey. Alongside his role at Moonshot, Massimo currently serves as the Vice President of M&A at Crowley Maritime Corporation, where he drives strategic growth initiatives for the company.
Massimo holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Boston University and a B.A. in Economics from Connecticut College.

In addition to his role at Moonshot, Nigel serves as the Managing Partner at Bizcise, where he has forged successful collaborations with significant organizations, including Microsoft, AWS, Sage, HP, and multiple global distribution companies, notably improving their Channel performance.
Stacy spear
Stacy is a Partner with a 35-year history in IT and over ten years in M&A, particularly in large enterprise environments. His multifaceted role encompasses assessing the IT infrastructure, systems, and processes of target companies, playing a pivotal role in post-acquisition technology integrations and migrations, providing expert guidance and support to portfolio companies through strategic planning, due diligence, and operational improvements, and drawing on vast experience in global technology deployments and system integrations.
Before joining Moonshot, Stacy demonstrated exceptional leadership and technical prowess in numerous high-stakes environments, including managing a significant mobile telecommunications network during Operation Iraqi Freedom, earning him the Bronze Star Medal. Additionally, his work with NATO in Germany, enhancing data communications operations, was recognized with the Meritorious Service Medal. Alongside his role, Stacy is also the Founder and President of Syllogistic Group. He has partnered with leading firms like Insight Global and Quest Software to deliver global IT services.
He holds a BA in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University with a minor in Information Security. During his military career, Stacy received an extensive education in management and technology-related courses.
